If it wasn't for the context within your post and the mention of Prop 8, this is actually sort of ambigious. Is it talking about gay marriage activists fighting to save their marriages or is it about anti gay marriage activists?

I just found it interesting. I guess it shows that both sides feel that they are fighting for the institution of marriage.

One side feels that making it more inclusive weakens it, the other side feels that it's weakened by being less inclusive. We need to figure our how to convince people that being more inclusive makes it stronger rather than weaker.

I'd be willing to donate some money to a group willing to go head to head with their disgusting and vile ads, especially since I live in a part of PA that shares it's media market with NJ, and both states are on their list.

What REALLY scares me though is that PA doesn't have a gay marriage ban amendment, and the state's nowhere near as blue as others like California and Massachusetts, plus there's lots of religious people here to, which makes an amendment banning gay marriage seem like the logical thing for a vile antiGay group to push for here.

Marriage is between a husband and wife. The people of do not want marriage to be anything but that. We do not want government or judges changing that definition for us today or our children tomorrow.

• We need a marriage amendment to settle the gay marriage issue once and for all, so we don’t have it in our face every day for the next ten years.

• Marriage is about bringing together men and women so children can have mothers and fathers.

• Do we want to teach the next generation that one-half of humanity—either mothers or fathers—are dispensable, unimportant? Children are confused enough right now with sexual messages. Let’s not confuse them further.

• Gays and Lesbians have a right to live as they choose; they don’t have a right to redefine marriage for the rest of us.

This is the 3x5 card answer. Look at the sad ignorance. Apparently an unconstitutional amendment is needed "so we don’t have it in our face every day for the next ten years". Apparently, getting married means having kids. By this logic, marriages without children should be considered LESS than marriage, right? The excuse that somehow mothers and fathers are declared "dispensable, unimportant" individuals because a couple women or men who love each other somehow denigrate what they are or do. What about divorce? What about adultery? What about separation? If people engage in any of these activities after getting married, what are they? "Dispensable, unimportant?"

Their argument is good if you are a halfwit without a thinking process or are empowered by your own ignorance.
