| Win/Win on a bad situation |

On Torture investigations.... just now on the Maddow Show.
What about those Investigations?
Barack Obama says no. Rahm Emanuel says no. Robert Gibbs says no.
But the Justice Department say...not so fast.
This seems like a good idea, and may turn out just fine.
Good cop/Bad Cop?
We don't need our President mired in the actions of the Bush administration while he continues to do what we need done.
This could be an actually win/win.
Our President goes about his business, and the DOJ investigates or appoints someone to investigate the torture aspects of the last administration.

| 6. Actually I believe an independent prosecutor is supposed to be independent of the White House |
|
It would be Eric Holder appointing the prosecutor and Obama can still claim to be looking ahead.
Sounds like a fantastic idea if you ask me.
Obama can satisfy his base and still "look ahead." :D

It is the job of the DOJ to go after these guys, it is not just their job but their duty, it should not be up to the executive branch to make any decisions on this, they can request it maybe but anything else is exactly what the previous regime did.
