Obama did not call on Fox News

Earlier today, President Obama talked to a St. Louis audience about "certain news channels" where he's not very popular, and during his third prime-time news conference, he called on all the major networks but one.

Similar to his first two East Room pressers, Obama called on 13 reporters. But unlike last time, the major newspapers got a chance to question the president.

Obama skipped around, too, ignoring the traditional White House protocol that begins with the wires before leading to the networks.

Here's the run-down: Jennifer Loven (Associated Press), Deb Price (Detroit News), Jake Tapper (ABC), Mark Knoller (CBS Radio), Chuck Todd (NBC), Jeff Mason (Reuters), Chip Reid (CBS), Ed Henry (CNN), Jeff Zeleny (New York Times), Lori Montenegro (Telemundo), Andre Showell (BET), Michael Scherer (Time), and Jonathan Weisman (Wall Street Journal).

17. Last press conference, Garrett asked a question filled with "socialist"

and "communist" about a world currency. He was just throwing red meat to the wingnuts with talking points straight from Minnesota nutbag Michelle Bachmann. Here's the question he asked:

Good evening, Mr. President. Thank you. Taking this economic debate a bit globally, senior Chinese officials have publically expressed an interest in international currency. This is described by Chinese specialists as a sign that they are less confident than they used to be in the value and the reliability of the U.S. dollar. European countries have resisted your calls to spend more on economic stimulus. I wonder, sir, as a candidate who ran concerned about the image of the United States globally, how comfortable you are with the Chinese government, run by Communists, less confident than they used to be in the U.S. dollar, and European governments, some of them center-left, some of them Socialist, who say you're asking them to spend too much.

They're entertainment, nothing but a bunch of clowns, good on Obama for not calling on them. I hope he never calls on them, in fact they shouldn't even be allowed in the conference room imo.
