| Kerry comes across as delusional as Bush if |
|
Just saw the kerry press conference. Kerry comes across as delusional as Bush if he thinks that we will 'win' in Iraq. or that USofA military presence will be there in 4 years time. Hopefully he is merely lying so that the republican deserters of BushCo will vote for him. Would hate to think he actually believes that. Too damn sad.
There is a bloodbath revolt coming in Iraq and neither of these bozo bonesmen see it. Anyone remember Dien Bien Phu? Tet? It don't happen early, it happens when the repression builds to the point that 5% or more of the population can't take or don't got nothing left to lose. We are about there.
The cause of chaos in Iraq is the presense of USofA military. As long as we remain, there will be chaos. And who gives a rat's ass about the supposed power vacumm that will exist when we leave. We ain't getting oil from the place anyway, so why die there? And as soon as we get the fluck out, then the Iraqis can get to where they want to go. Which they will do no matter pull out in 04, 05 or 2025. Ain't our flucking country.
And no body no where ever been given democracy at the point of a gun. A people take their destiny. As we will shortly see in Iraq. To our detriment.
Likely will still vote for kerry but really it is a vote against the bushco. Unfortunately a lot of us independents see it as really enabling KerryCo...but we could be wrong. Just cause every other bonesman who got power flucked it all up don't mean Kerry will. Still the odds favor the trend of bonesman incompetance continuing.
So sad that the best the country can do is two of these lame ass secret society members....oh well, what the hell. Govt is run by the professional flucking civil 'servants' anyway. And whomeever's got all them bonesmen by the balls.

Because if the only way you see us "winning" is by imposing an American style government by fiat, then yes, it's an empty dream.
If by "winning," you define (as Kerry does) the stabilization of Iraq under the aegis of a multination coalition that gives Iraq the space it needs to reconstitute itself, and that that reconstitution takes the form that Iraqis decide for themselves it will take, then "winning" is quite possible.

he'll do anything to win, that horrible john kerry. did you know he speaks french & WIND SURFS?
dude, he's GOT to toe the line to a degree. the amurkin pepul are not going to vote in someone who says we need to take our toys & go home. although that's exactly what we should do. kerry should know its a lost cause; that was his point in 1971.
lets get him fucking elected, and then see what he DOES on jan. 21.

Look, Kerry will stop at securing Iraq. Bush will continue to force democracy upon the entire mideast.
It's an easy choice really. :hi:

for the violent forces that would assume power through their bloody terror campaign. I refuse to believe that our military, and even our flawed president, is the worst influence in Iraq today. There are certainly more dangerous, more violent influences in Iraq that threaten the efforts to achieve elections that would move Iraq to sel-rule and independence.
That's not to say that Bush isn't a major obstacle, he is a continuing menace as he persists in his foolish ambition to dominate Iraq and exploit that country for his poltical patronage to his neocon cabal, but I refuse to accept that we should leave Iraq to crumble since we were the ones that took out the only controlling authority there and disarmed the military who would help defend any new government.
The U.S. installed authority is a cancer which must be completely removed if any elected authority is to gain the full confidence of Iraqis of independent rule. But they will need protection against the more insidious, violent influences who would exploit the military and power vacumn left by our mindless invasion and occupation.
Not much in your rant that addresses Iraq's future. Just a statement of the obvious. Militarism for militarism's sake is mindless and unproductive and dangerously wrong. But that is not what John Kerry is proposing for Iraq. Old Bones notwithstanding.

Don't you have anything better to do than trash both parties at once? Get a spine (and a life while you're at it).

| 16. Kerry just doesn't want to cut and run |
|
Perhaps he can get everyone to trust him enough to help him clean up the fubar that is Iraq. Least we can do is try to glue the place back together. And he doesn't want a Saigon style cut and run, which is probably what's coming if Bush stays in with Rumsfeld and Cheney. They helped fuck up the last retreat too.
