Hardball:Mathews & NYP "reporter" immediately dismiss RW memo source idea
Just now on MSNBC

Guests on to discuss how this could be related to the Kerry campaign:

Ken Bode-former NBC reporter and current journalism professor at Depauw University.
Deborah Orin-NY Post reporter
Vaughan Verver (?)-The Hotline

So they are discussing not only that there are serious questions about whether or not the Kerry campaign was involved in the Killian memos but; how involved could the Kerry campaign have been, how STOOPID Lockhart was to even make the call, and how much it will hurt the Kerry campaign. It is always half referred to as a "conspiracy theory" and Mathews poses to Verver that this is sort of what CBS and the NY Times are (Verver interjects the other networks)the New York establishment liberal media-No one really gives a straight answer and Mathews doesn't seem to want one.

Did you notice that in that recap a certain persons name and a certain party weren't even mentioned?

They go around and around when Bode says (~close quote~)~"You know, the other side of these 'conspiracy theories' is that it could have been a right wing source"

Orin can be heard to sit bolt upright in her chair and as Mathews is looking off camera and giving it his best "oh come on" look Orin can be heard chirping against the very idea.

Mathews says that they had (name) on from the Washington Post on last night saying the same kind of thing and he and Orin have a short breathless "discussion" of how that just can't be.

Then Swift Boat lawyer Ginsberg comes on the cement it ~"Well this pretty much confirms what conservatives have thought for a long time about a liberal media",

They are doing it they are bleeping this into close to the mainstream and the blood ends up squarely on the Kerry campaigns hands. It makes me sick.

5. On the other hand, Olbermann gave the Roger Stone angle

on all this, and laid out the possible GOP ties quite a bit of play on his show tonight.

He lent credence to the whole theory that it could have a GOP smear genesis through Roger Stone.

So Tweety can bite me.

14. You are forgetting
In some hidden ways they were making fun of the lawyer that was on there. What is the best way to bait a trap? Lure them in. There was a lot that made the lawyer look like a fool. Countdown however has been doing some creditable stuff. I'm just wondering what we can do to prove our side to them.

19. Mainly trying to get the suggestion out there
See Lockhart had a 3-4 minute phone call with Burkett LINK! LINK!

Of course Ginsberg had to choose between staying as WH counsel or going with the Swifties-he went with the Swifties

The AF Colonel who appeared in the POW ad was an advisor to the Bush Campaign on Veteran's affairs-they said he was a "low level volunteer"

Swifties initial funding came from Bill Perry a LONGTIME friend of Karl Rove's

The Texas state official -Jerry Patterson-who went out to accept the letter from Max Cleeland at the Crawford ranch (the only Vietnam Vet they had handy) well see his main political contributor was........Bill Perry.

NO LINK! NO LINK!

22. Not only MSNBC, but CNN.........
All Jack Cafferty can talk about this morning is how the CBS revelations has "hurt the Kerry campaign." He also predicted that Mapes head will roll but that Rather will stay on. Keep talking up it up Jack in your hopes it may!!!
