Highest rating for a "Fall debut" since his first such debut his first season on CBS.

I can't understand how people can prefer Jay Leno.
I ALWAYS watched Johnny Carson. Absolutely loved him. I watched Leno twice after he took over and just hated it. It's such a lousy show. Letterman, however, has managed to stay funny and fresh all these years.
