| Why the Polls Can't be Accurate |
|
You're a Democrat.
I'm a Democrat -- at least for now. But for now, I'm bought in.
You've read the same news I have.
Black voter intimidation in Florida.
Lists.
Folks who speak out against the President are traitors.
Ted Kennedy can't get on an airplane.
More lists.
People with Kerry bumper stickers lose their jobs.
More lists.
Loyalty oaths at Bush conventions.
They are taking names and kicking butt.
So you get a call ... from a stranger.
And that stranger asks you if you are likely to vote.
What do you say? You're a registered Democrat and you have a flight to catch tomorrow and you know Ted Kennedy can't even get on a plane.
What do you say?
Or, you're a moderate, and then they ask, "Who would you vote for if the election were held today?"
A complete stranger asks this.
And you know police are making threatening visits to Democratid voters in Florida.
And you know Kerry supporters are being fired.
And you have bills to pay.
And it doesn't mean a damn thing what you say when you answer this question.
So what do you say to this stranger?
But when it does mean something. On Election day. And nobody will know they way you voted. Well,Then what do you say?
