It looks darn good now. I don't believe for a second that Maryland (which is now listed as "tied") will go for Bush, so that would give us 279. But as you also said- don't rest for a second! Keep fighting until Nov. 2nd! If we become lazy and complacent, THAT'S how we'll lose.

5. One Problem

Even with Maryland and New Mexico, since we don't really believe that Kerry will get Florida, we're still in the hole.

Where are we going to make up those twenty votes? I'm not seeing a likely possibility, since Ohio's getting further away all the time.

10. Ohio is not getting further away. It is still close as of today's polls.

Also you may believe Kerry won't carry Florida, I happen to believe he will. And even if Kerry doesn't get Florida or Ohio, he can still win if he hangs unto all of the Gore states and picks up West Virginia (still likely, imo) and one of Nevada, Colorado, Missouri, ot Arkensas. That said, losing Florida and Ohio would be a big blow to Kerry's chances, as it leaves little margin for error.
