| FOP endorsement of shrub. What is behind this move? |
|
The Fraternal Order of Police overwealmingly endorsed pResident bush last Friday. Newslax said one of the main reasons for their endorsement is they were pissed that John Kerry did not fill out a questionaire that they prepared for the presidential candidates. I took it with a grain of salt knowing Newslax was writing this. It also looks like the national FOP prez, Chuck Canterbury, might be a little chummy with bushco though I could be wrong. Are they getting any flack from the rank and file about this?
I don't know if this was discussed much last weekend as I wasn't around a 'puter much and wasn't aware of the endorsement until this morning. Sorry if this is rehashing things.

Kerry? Because I thought The Police were endorsing Kerry as well as the Firemen?
This FOP don't know what they're doing, do they? Hasn't the bushisistas cut cops on the street?

| 2. So if they say this is doesn't mean all of them are going to vote *. |
|
I was just thinking they can't make them do it. I saw that right after they said yes to Kerry. I didn't get much of an answer except that they always vote PUB.

| My understanding is they endorse a Republican every election |
|
Nevertheless they claim that Kerry "snubbed" them, hence their decision. However, Kerry did get the International Brotherhood of Police Officers endorsement, which had gone to Bush in 2000.

from unreasonable Search & Seizure, Patriot act, screw the search warrants, arrest anyone you want, hold them incommunicado for as long as you want. I'd be shocked if they endorsed Kerry.

The police unions know that they will not get a contract with Republicans no matter what.
