Not only does everyone in that area have a Marshall hat Just about EVERYONE who goes to college in that area goes to Marshall.

I am not making fun of West Virginians here but how many WV schools can you think of?

Marshall (most of my family's alma mater)
Shepherd College
WV Tech (small-mostly black school)

Univ. of Charleston (not the one with the basketball team)

Hell I can't think of any others. Maybe some community colleges-not that they are needed if you graduate from High School in WV you are automatically accepted into any WV school you want to go to (Sen.Byrd $$ trying to "break the cycle") and if you have a B GPA or higher the first year is free.

Tuition at Marshall is pretty low too.

No, a hat does not *prove* that that is Phil II. But it does add yet another piece of evidence to the case that IUPAT guy might be Phil II. We *know* that Phil II was at the event. Where was he when this all happened? The Parlocks could clear this up right now if they just found a recent photo of Phil II.

But even if it's not him, that wouldn't change the fact that Phil Sr. has now been involved in at least THREE of these suspicous events.

I think it's likely that Parlock didn't realize how large this story would get, hence, his sloppiness of using his own son as a protestor. We need a good picture of his college son. A GOOD picture. The family photo is good, but it's small.
Any chance someone can go to the Marshall University and hit the year books? It's possible Phil Jr. is already in one of them.

38. There's another angle to this - the "baddie" in the photo is wearing

a union shirt. The story Parlock told the press is that a union guy tore up their sign and made his daughter cry. Republicans don't like unions. FR has been having a ball with the union aspect of this, talking about how all Democrats are freaks = babykiller abortionists = all union guys = Kerry supporters = the antichrist = well you get my drift.

The painters union has been getting hate mail. The president issued a press release this morning saying that they deplored this action by one of their brothers and they would find the perp and prosecute him to the full extend of the law etc. Rational Rose talked to them this morning, and they were very surprised to learn that this might have been staged. If it was staged, it means that somebody impersonated a union guy for the photo op, besmirching the reputation of the painters union.

If we can identify the real identity of the man in the photo (who incidentally is also besmirching the reputation of Marshall University), then maybe we can exonerate the painters union.

I'm from Ohio, my dad grew up in a steel town, and I don't take kindly to disruptors pretending to be union. That's an old Republican Party tactic.
