Presidential Prayer Team announces "Virtual Prayer Rallies, Pray The Vote"
GREAT news for anyone who wants to gang-pray for Bush to win the election but can't seem to make it out of the house for one of those in-person thingys.

http://www.presidentialprayerteam.org/

"Pray for the President in his ongoing relationship with Iraqi Prime Minister Allawi. The two leaders have recently met to discuss the war on terror and the effort to establish democracy in Iraq and other countries of the Middle East, including the upcoming elections in Iraq. As America continues to support the establishment of freedom and democracy in Iraq, pray for the young government to be successful in efforts to bring complete liberty to all Iraqis.

As the nation prepares for the presidential debates, pray for the candidates in their preparation, and for those who will observe, both in the halls and around the world, that the issues and views will be clear so all Americans can be wisely informed as they vote.

As President Bush has lifted longstanding economic sanctions against Libya, give thanks for the success of diplomatic efforts to reduce weapons of mass destruction in that country and around the world. Pray that these efforts will continue to succeed so that Libya may regain a secure and respected place among the nations of the world.

Pray for protection for the President, members of his team and for the members of the media who continue to travel across the country."

1. Just as long as they keep praying for the President in January.
No matter who that'll be.

3. Well, I have many times uttered a prayer myself!
Every time I hear Shrub's voice on TV, I pray "Dear God, please help us defeat this idiot!"

7. But wait, there's more!
Just looking at that website, I found this-

ADDITIONAL LEADERS TO
PRAY FOR THIS WEEK

National Security Advisor—Condoleezza Rice

Secretary of the Interior—
Gale Norton

Secretary of Treasury—
John Snow

Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board—Alan Greenspan

I'm curious, just what is it that Condoleeza needs from our prayers, let alone bush. I mean, Dufar? Is anyone home? Bush got his wad of cash. And he's even the president. So what the hell does he need of our prayers? Besides, when we all did a virual prayer that O'Rielley's head would explode, over at Bartcop, his head did not explode. So obviously not all virtual prayers are effective. This is the most self-centered crap I have ever heard of. Praying for millionaires. I pray for Bush when he has to realize just what kind of pain he has inflicted on this planet. That is when he's going to need all of the prayers he can get.

Or, check this out-

Recent storms have caused the nation and the world to stand in awe of God's power and might. Last week we invited readers of our website to submit both prayer requests and answers to prayer involving recent storms across the Southeast and East. To pray for specific concerns that have been sent or to read how God has answered prayer, click here.

As if our pathetic hurricanes were a drop in the bucket compared to the (completely avoidable, at our control) death and suffering due to AIDS in Africa, genocide in Darfur, sanctions and attacks in Iraq, and on and on. Hurricanes?! How selfish and myopic could anyone be?
