I thought Bush's bounce would be gone by now

but there are still too many polls showing him with an 8-point or so lead, and the state polls are not at all good. I like what Kerry's doing, but it seems to be not helping him, as if the negative portrayals of him (flip flopper, etc.) are too late to change.

(I've been gone from DU for almost a week - I was hospitalized after breaking my leg - and was hoping to see better news here and elsewhere.)

Maybe the debates can turn this thing around - they did close the deal for Reagan in 1980.

I've been with DU since virtually Day 1 "pal," so cut out the insults. My only "agenda" is to see Bush's ass kicked out of office.

I wasn't aware Zogby had a new bunch of state polls out - as I said, I haven't been on DU or seen the news much. Does anyone have a link?
