| CNN and MSNBC both go straight to B/C Liars after Kerry speech |
|
No rebuttals to their lies, no real questions from the "hosts," just RNC Ops saying "You didn't hear what you just heard," basically.

I was watching the speech thinking to myself, there is nothing the RNC can say to refute this.
So they get on and say, "Kerry is inconsistent," even though they can't site one example.
They say, "The president is already doing what Kerry's talking about," even though Kerry gave a boatload of examples of things the Chimp isn't doing.
They lie, and even though I shouldn't be surprised, I'm constantly amazed at how the media enables them to do it.

Did not follow up on anything. The Dork they had on said Kerry said we would be better off if Saddam was in power, she said nothing. Maybe she should watch ABCnews more often and she would have known they proved this a lie.

Right after that puke made the "Kerry said we were safer with Saddam" comment, to MSNBC, and, lo and behold, THAT puke was making the exact same comment???? Are all of these assholes completely allergic to an original thought????

| 9. CNN had two "objective" commentators. |
|
Schneider and Peter Berg, their terrorism expert. Both were pretty supportive of Kerry, I thought.
And MSNBC had some objective expert as well, also agreeing with a lot of what Kerry said.
The effect was to expose the two rethugs as partisan mouthpieces.

Why the F*** do we instantly have to hear the lies from the repug Nazis? It drives me crazY!!!!!!!!!!!
It is no wonder to me anymore why almost half of this country appears to be a bunch of morons! They are brainwashed by these irresponsible networks!!!!!!!!!
They don't even give some time for a synopsis or reflection on the speech.
If Bush steals this election the pod people who supported him deserve the 4 years of hell he will bring.....
....personally, I believe Kerry will win in a landslide.

after the coincidentally identical idiotic spin from the Bush nutbags both CNN and MSNBC had "terrorism experts" on who with a real grip on reality and what Kerry was actually saying backed Kerry up in a really big way. They went over the new and important things that Kerry talked about. They added an important dose of reality that made Kerry's speech appear to be the serious adult take on the situation and the Bush people seem like peevish children.

That's good to hear. I just wish they'd handle Kerry and Chimp speeches the same way. If they're going to go straight to RNCers after Kerry, then they should go straight to DNCers after Chimpy, instead of a DNCer interrupted every other sentence by Terry Holt or Ken Mehlman or Ed Gillespie.

|
Don't get me wrong, it is an outrage when they follow up with these thugs and we all need to be thankful for groups like Media Matters who are finally bringing this to light.
But I can say personally that when I am watching CNN, ESPN, MSNBC or any other type of "perpetual" television for an extended period of time, I use the "switch" from one scene to another as an opportunity to do all sorts of other things (e.g. check what else is on, get something to eat, etc.)
It's still an outrage, I just don't think that it's that effective at changing anyone's mind.

and he flip-flopped when he did it. It's been the talking point since day one. Doesn't matter if it applies. They just say it anyway.
Why can't the "news" stations just play the speech? We don't need people to tell us what we heard, or didn't hear, or what to think about it. Do you think when Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address somebody jumped up on the stage when he was done to "explain" it?
