5. You can stuff envelopes, you can canvass neighborhoods, or

you can work on the phone banks. You do not have to talk to Republicans. You must help Dems and Independents realize that if they do not vote it will be four more years of Bush, only much, much worse because he won't have an election to worry about. Every lit bit helps. If you talk on the phone, they will give you a script. If you canvass a negihborhood, knocking on doors, you will have a partner with you. It must be done NOW!
P.S.-- I volunteered for the first time since I helped protest at my college in 1970. It's easy and fun to join other like-minded people. You will feel happier and healthier!

2. I just ran down to HQ here in Waterloo, Iowa

To see if they needed lunch ordered for the volunteers.

HQ is on the first floor of our building and our office is on the 7th floor (and Republicans are on the mezzanine :puke: )

It's a (well organized) zoo at HQ right now as they gear-up to pick up absentee ballots. Callers and runners galore!!!! YEAH!!

I volunteer every Friday afternoon (I'm off work at 1:00)- doing phone bank and we canvass on Sat & Sun.

Sometimes do envelope stuffing for local candidates.

It is great being around people with the same goal. Especially since I live in a red state surrounded by fundies.
