| Where are our crazy preachers? |
|
When a disaster strikes a liberal community, Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell rush to the microphone and declare it's Gods wrath directed against our evil ways. However, now that four hurricanes have hit various regions of the south, and mostly fairly conservative regions, why don't we have some kind of nutcase preacher who makes the same kind of claim?

| 1. Because "our" preachers are probably too busy helping |

the victims rather than blaming them? That's what Jesus would do, anyway.

I picked up my copy of the NYT this morning and, at the top of the fold, is a picture of the latest hurricane damage. I wondered the same thing. Why is it God's retribution when shit like this happens outside of the Bible Belt, but God's will when its in Bible-thumper land? Our crazy preachers are out there consoling the victims, bring water to the thirsty and food to the hungry. You know that old librul mindset: whatsover you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me.
