American Idiots on CSPAN
Don't wanna be an American idiot.
Don't want a nation under the new media.
And can you hear the sound of hysteria?
The subliminal mindfuck America.

Caller, what do you think it will take for George Bush to make it an effective series of debates?

Caller from North Carolina: Well the first thing, just show up, but he's just got to be himself, talk to the American people, cause there are more of us like him than this high-fallootin' John Fonda Kerry, and he'll keep on his three or four strong points...and the fact that he has four years experience dealing with these terrorist and the UN so-called after he spent a year trying to convince the UN to do something after they did nothing for 10 years and he ought to mention a few things like gun control and abortion and if he sticks to that, talks straight, talks real, talks regular, he'll win the debate and he's going to win the election by about 60/40 because there are more Americans in this country that the media knows about and we're registered and we're gonna vote.

Caller from Alabama: ...we have a President in there who is a godly man and I'm gonna vote for and I wish every American would consider public safety and our country first and I think they would decide President Bush would be the best for the next four years.

Caller from Washington: ...I think that if he speaks from his heart, then he'll be just fine, because I think he is a fairly honest person that he has great morals and he is a godly man and if he just tells the truth he'll be great.

3. This is what happens when pig farmers
get to decide an election. I am so sick of "what will the fly over sates think?" Who really gives a shit what they think? When are we going to hear "what do the people with over a fourth grade education think?"

6. Pig farmers for Bush - that would be a funny bumpersticker
With a picture of George Bush in a tuxedo and a pig in a wedding dress.

5. I had to stop watching
These Bush supporters are out of touch with reality. One woman was going on about the great leadership that * supposedly showed on 9/11.

8. Yeah, we poke fun but they have the same vote as the president of Harvard
The dems better figure out a way to appeal to this type of voter or we will get our asses kicked in every upcoming election for president.

10. Jesus thinks they are jerks
He told me in a little moment. Kerry rhymes with Mary, the Virgin Mother. John is an Apostle's name.

There is NO apostle named George. The only bush mentioned in the Bible is one that is burning.

So there!

14. Just Show Up
Well, that is good advice considering he's spent over 42% of his time at his "ranch".......

Definately doesn't "show up" much in Washington, DC......

13. Actually those types don't infuriate me that much
Those voters sound like conservatives who would've voted for Bush anyway.

The type of voters who annoy me the most are:

-"DLC Moms" (soccer moms/security moms) who supported Bush in 2002 elections: socially liberal/fiscally conservative suburban women who are sucked in by Bush's fake macho persona, think he's going to "protect me and make me feel safe". Yeah, as long as Bush is manufacturing wars in which their kids don't have to die in or their taxes don't have to go to support. These women enjoy the liberal lifestyle but won't fight to protect it -- mainly because they have enough money that it doesn't matter -- they will be able to get an abortion even if it is outlawed.

-Single urbanites who don't vote - 22 million single women didn't vote in the last election. Too busy with their trendy lives to care about defending the very way of life they enjoy --- civil rights that people just a generation ago sacraficed their lives, jobs and reputatations for.

-the dumb swing voter -- voters who don't see a difference between the candidates because they're too busy watching "The Bachelor" or sports to educate themselves about the ideological differences between the parties/candidates (which is really all that matters -- not personality or specific issues or proposals -- because a party or candidate's ideology/philosophy indicates the *direction* they would take the country).

I'm sure I could think of a few more "American idiot" voting blocs. If Bush is elected I will blame the "American idiot", the media and the Democratic Party leadership.
