I saw some posted here on DU about 6 months ago, but nothing since. I don't know who listens. Political junkies, I suspect.

2. Opinionated replacements

for the skimpy and shoddy front pages and TV news stories that leave out so much these pontificators are sucked into the vacuum. Then they don't do the job either but rant and spew and wink and suggest THEY have the knowledge hidden somewhere out there among their special sources.

Why bother commenting? The basic journalism job is not being done so in fact it is all a rumor spin mill. Those like Bill Moyers who decry the situation are at least honest.

An embarrassment for any educated nation. A shame for a "free" people. A disaster for a superpower.
