
Just as I do just about every time I mention the congressman, I have to say he has disappointed me a lot on some of his votes. For example, he voted for the "bankruptcy reform" bill. But let's not forget that he has done some good work -- on jobs and education for the Black Belt, for example. In my opinion, he's by far the best of Alabama's
seven nine congress critters. Maybe we should nudge him in a leftward direction.
All that said, he impressed me Tuesday evening. He didn't have many kind words for the Bush administration, and that's enough to set him apart from the rest of Alabama delegation. (I really wish the callers on the show would write their questions down... all the "uh's" are distracting and waste time.)
