Auburn Drummers look so gay

What the hell kinda uniforms are those drummers wearing? :evilgrin:

And don't flame me, my best friend is gay and he says something looks gay all the time.

1. They had their jackets off

The pants of band uniforms are higher and made like that so that when they move certain ways, it is a uniform look, no weird shirts are showing. All of the uniforms are the same, not just the drummers. I don't think they should have been allowed to take their jackets off, if the rest of the band had their's own.

I was in the AU band in the 80's and had the high waisted pants as well.

2. Not flaming, but is GAY really the best way to describe the look?

Seriously... if I see a guy wearing high waisted trousers, I might think of descriptives like 'nerdy', 'geeky' or 'dorky' but it is almost unthinkable that 'gay' would come to mind.

I guess my real issue is the increasingly common (esp. among adolescents) use of 'gay' as a derogatory term.

Again, not flaming... just an observation.

3. Locking.

In many circumstances, the use of the word "gay" can be considered homophobic. This is one of them.
