| Could Mark Hudspeth Cut It In The SEC? |
|
I'm trying to think outside of the box on Alabama's coaching search.
He took North Alabama to the Division II semi-finals in his second year as coach.
I understand that he's from Montgomery, so maybe he's an Auburn fan.
I'm just thinking out loud here, but what do you think of the idea of bringing a winning division two coach into the SEC? Could it work? Has it worked before?
Or would that be like putting a high school coach into the pressure cooker known as the SEC?

| 2. yeah, he's a popular choice on the 'Bamanets |

I got to thinking about this after I realized that Ohio State's coach, Jim Tressel, was a 1-A and 1-AA coach before taking over for the Buckeyes. I'd say he's done a pretty good job. :)
Sure, I'd be thrilled to get a big name, but there's a lot of coaching talent out there at smaller, more obscure schools.

It's pointless, but kind of fun playing Armchair AD.

I'd love to get somebody like Saban or Spurrier. But I'm talking about good coaches from "outside the bun." :)
