We're moving up to Michigan at the end of the month. I was born and raised here, but a change is coming. Hubby accepted a job in Sault Ste Marie, MI, so off we go.
Good luck everybody!

I hope you enjoy your new home.
I moved away from Alabama for job reasons many years ago, but last week within the space of an hour, two different people asked me where I am from. They both knew I was from the South, but they weren't sure which state.
So, even though I don't live in Alabama any more, my softened Alabama accent goes with me whenever I move to a new state.
And now I keep up with Alabama news through phone calls and emails with friends, this forum, and my hometown newspaper.

I can't believe I'm doing this. I'm scared to death and excited at the same time. For the first time in my life, I'll get to stay at home for a little while. This is what I wanted more than anything when the kids were small, but I'm glad I'll get to be with them now. They are 9 and 12 and still need the guidance of their mommy. I think my twelve year old is just afraid I'll be at her school too much helping or substituting. :)
