I saw a bank thermometer at 111 about 2000. But the last week or two is wearing me and my air conditioner out.
It's too hot, too long.
Don't mean to whine. But damn it's hot.

| 3. I've got central air, but... |
|
It's struggling. The other day when it was 107 outside, it was nearly 90 inside. At least the AC sucks a lot of humidity out.

| 2. The summer of either 2000 or 2001, maybe it was 02. It was over 100 for over a week in Tuscaloosa. |

I remember because I have a VHS tape of me being interviewed on the Quad for Fox 6 News, and it was when I was in grad school, and yes it was as hot then as it is now. I think the drought has made things worse, actually, our spring fed creek is barely trickling by when it normally roars at the multiple falls. I remember the day I finally rained, and it was tropical, like a monsoon and all my neighbors ran out into the street and danced for joy!

|
Maybe we already have, and wunderground.com has triple digits forecast through the week ahead.
