| I have a question for Montgomery, AL DUers.... |
|
I lived in Montgomery in 1983-1984. I worked at Red Lobster when it first opened - I worked at the Swensens in the mall before that.
I used to go to a bar (underage, but no one cared) that was close to those two locations.... it had transsexual lounge singers in full drag - lights, costumes, makeup....the works.
I was just watching 'Priscilla, Queen of the Desert', and I have a NEED to know the name of the bar (and if you ever went there in the early 80's!!!)
I had some great times there.

Montgomery?
Tuscaloosa is a liberal paradise compared to Montgomery. I just can't imagine.
Good luck.

Key West North when compared to Montgomery. One assumes that the local gay population makes the trek to Bham or Atlanta at least they did when I lived there in my year and a half in purgatory.
What can you say about a city that only has one urbanized neighborhood (Cloverdale)? Just that it is Montgomery. . . but it would be an OK place to build a city: all those roads and empty buildings. . .
