| I wish the Tuscaloosa News would go back to being an Afternoon paper. |

I really do. It only makes sense.
They're not willing to work nights. So if we wish to get fresh news, it has to be an afternoon paper.
Tuscaloosa News, historically, was an important force in the Civil Rights Movement. They won Pulitzers and all kinds of shit.
But they have been irrelevant since the New York Times gobbled them up in the eighties. The Times, portrayed as a liberal company, by everyone in the Universe, has smothered the once-great local Tuscaloosa News.
You want the T'News to get another Pulitzer? How about ONE local reporter that does more than re-word press releases from the mayor's office?
You're kidding me. The local section is four pages? With no real "local" news in it?
The Tuscaloosa News, with the exception of the Sports pages, is simply sucking the top stories off Yahoo and putting their stamp on it.
It's sad and distressing.

Now I tend to use http://www.wellthatscool.com/drupal/ Maybe from habit, I do still read the online version of the paper.

I remember recommending that website awhile back, and now that I've forgotten about it for some reason, it has been re-recommended back to me. That's kind of cool. Pay it backward? :)
