Whew, we (Tide) got our work cut out for us.
I take some solace in learning that FSU's #1 QB was sidelined with an injury.
Next Saturday's gonna be a tough one.

1. depends on which McElroy shows up

He played really well the first five games or so, then went into a dismal slump, that has seemed to abate the last couple of weeks.

I think, as a whole, 'Bama is better than last year, and Florida isn't quite as good. So, considering that we played them competitively last season, I'm thinking we stand a better than even chance on Saturday. But it all depends on if McElroy is ready to go. If the "good" McElroy shows up, we win. If the "fragile" McElroy plays, things could get ugly quick.

Obviously, I'm hoping for the former. A decade is too long to go without a championship.

By the way, your typo in the subject line amused me. I have a cousin a couple years younger than me. When we were little, he was always wanting to know if we were going to "Floridas this year."

I can only say that I hope we beat "Floridas" this year.

3. I have a pretty good feeling about next weekend.

I will not jinx anything, but I thought FSU played UF pretty damned well considering everything. I will just say this: whether Alabama wins or loses next Saturday, depends much more on how Bama plays than on how Florida plays. If Bama is on its game, it won't matter how "on" Florida is, if Bama is "off", then we have to hope for Florida being off. That is my take...
