| Robert Bentley says he wants to keep Alabama a "right-to-work" state |

I know that is Republican code-speak for union busting, but could someone fill me in on what exactly "right-to-work" really means?
Thanks.

What is the president doing in that photo? Worshiping Satan, or cheering for the Longhorns? I'm not sure which would be worse. ;)

you don't have to be a member of a union to hold a job. There's no such thing as a union shop anymore. It's union busting.
The rightwing bloviators have spent decades convincing people that unions are bad for workers. Some union corruption and excesses played right into that. Add to that the way the Dems refuse to stand up for their principles at times, and unions have been on the wane for a long time (along the middle class, in not a coincidence).

That's the main thing I hate about Democrats. They can be such wimps.
The right-wing commentator, Bernard Goldberg, had a book awhile back that I think was called "Crazies To The Left Of Me, Wimps To The Right." Or something along those lines. I think he was on the right track, but he got it exactly backward.
