| Steve Womack treats his opponent disrespectfully - Surprise Surprise |
|
I just got this email from Ken Aden www.Aden4Arkansas.com
Dear Friend: Attacking someone's honorable record of military service is a terrible thing to do. It's even worse when a former soldier's military record is attacked solely to secure political points. Yet, this is exactly what is happening right here in our district. Congressman Steve Womack, our incumbent Republican Congressman, recently launched a full-scale assault on my military record. Womack, who happened to have been my commander when I was in the Arkansas National Guard, told the Akansas Democrat-Gazette recently that I was essentially too mediocre of a soldier to be remembered. Unfortunately for Womack, his memory isn't so good. My campaign fired back and provided the media records of one of my commendations—which just so happened to have been signed and approved by Congressman Womack himself. The media reaction to Womack's lies and condescending tone hasn't been positive, and it is helping our campaign build much needed momentum. This weekend, a Vietnam veteran shared with me a letter to the editor he sent to his local newspaper. In his letter, this veteran noted: “As a Vietnam Veteran, I find Congressman Womack’s efforts to downplay his Democratic opponent’s service record to be disrespectful and petty...It would seem that he considers ‘enlisted men’ as somehow inferior and not deserving of his respect. When coupled with his attitude toward Seniors and the unemployed; one gets the distinct impression that he only cares about his wealthy backers” Arkansas' Third District needs new leadership--leadership who will look out for the best interests of the citizens, and not corporations. Will you help my campaign today with a $10, $25, $50, $100 contribution, or more, today? Every dollar helps. And, if you can't contribute, please consider signing up to volunteer for our campaign. Sincerely,
Ken Aden
