| How are you voting on Prop 7? |
|
I have seen that commercial so many times with the attractive woman telling me to vote No on 7, that it's making me suspicious. Any time that huge amounts of money are being spent on a single ballot proposition, that makes me think there is a big money interest that wants it stopped. And a Republican voter guide that was foolishly mailed to us urges among other things a No vote on 7 (and of course a Yes vote on 8). What are you voting on 7 and why? Thanks.

Prop 7 and 10 are opposed by every environmental and consumer group, including the Sierra Club, UCAN, and TURN. See my post here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=4243828&mesg_id=4244186edit to add: The official "no on prop 7" website has a list of groups opposed to prop 7: http://www.noprop7.com/whoopposes7.html

I just listened to David S. Freeman on KPFK It doesn't sound so bad when you listen to him. I'll have to do some more research on this. If anyone wants to hear the interview, he comes on about 10 minutes into this 35-minute file: play: http://archive.kpfk.org/parchive/pls.php?mp3fil=16074download: http://archive.kpfk.org/parchive/mp3/kpfk_081026_113253bbriefing.mp3podcast: http://archive.kpfk.org/parchive/xml/bbriefing.xml
