| San Diego: LED Christmas lights for $2 in the supermarkets (SDGE promo) |
|
I was in Stater Bros, they have LED Christmas lights for $2 a box, part of an SDG&E promo. Other supermarkets probably have them too. Indoor/outdoor, 100 multi-colored lights, 33.67 feet long, connect end-to-end. The package insert says each string is rated 4.8 watts (0.04 amps), connect up to a maximum of 210 watts (1.75 amps) total. So you could string about 43 of these together and have a run of 1,447.81 feet. I only bought 2 boxes, but I might go back for more.

I had to say bravo to SDGE
they know what people want and they're not going to stand by and let someone else do it
they may be doing the right thing for the wrong reason but it's still the right thing
