I don't know if anyone remembers, but my buddy Kamau was singled out by Comedy Central for being the first comic on their network to broach the whole issue of that Barack Obama guy in 2005.
Kamau is also a very fine SF comic that I used to book whenever possible. Anyway, looks like things are taking off for him and yes, this is a plug for him because he's not only a good comic, he's a good man.
His show is called "Ending Racism in About an Hour". :)

Hey people,
It's already February (Black History Month AND Month 2 of Black President Time!!!) and things are moving at light speed over here at "WKB Industries." My show just received 4 out of 5 stars from The SF Chronicle's head theater critic. I just taped a segment for the KQED TV program SPARK, which is scheduled to air April 1. In March, I will be featured in Colorlines Magazine. Also, I am now doing my show at high schools and colleges. If you know a school or organization that might want to book me to perform, please send any leads to wkmaubell@gmail.com.
And THE BIG NEWS around here is that on Tuesday, February 24 at 8pm I will be doing my solo comedy show, The W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About an Hour, in Los Angeles at a special showcase for the good people of Comedy Central!!!
And the even BETTER NEWS about this is that on that night the show will be COMPLETELY FREE. No admission fee. No cover. No bullsh*t.
Please help me pack the joint by telling all your Southern California peeps..
All people have to do it is call 323 960 5519 to make a reservation. That is the only way to get in.
