| Anyone there this morning in Costa Mesa? |
|
That was a nightmare. We were there since early in the morning and still didn't get tickets. It looked like thousands were turned away.

| 3. When I heard about it on Monday, |
|
people were already lining up for tickets. I live about 20 minutes from the fairgrounds, but figured by the time I got there, found parking, and made my way to the end of the line, there would probably be a 24 hour wait. I have kids. I have work. I like my sleep. A lot. So it really wasn't feasible, although it would have been nice.
I am even closer to Saddleback Church where Rick Warren's forum was held at the end of last summer. But the price tag on those tickets made my brain numb.
I figure one of these days there might be an opportunity that fits into my schedule and my budget.

And we got there at 5 and there was still so many in front of us. There were numerous reasons I couldn't camp out. Maybe next time!

It was a nightmare.
I spoke with a young lady who had camped out at 6 PM there Monday night and SHE couldn't get tickets!
I lasted for one and a half hours in line. There was no way those of us who came Tuesday morning were getting tickets.

| 6. The best I managed was going to the Long Beach Airport |
|
and managing to get a pretty good spot (among hundreds of others) to see Air Force One take off. It was thrilling seeing that silver and blue plane fly passed me knowing President Obama was sitting by one of the windows. I waved and cheered and never felt so much pride for my country and my president before! :patriot: :applause: :bounce:
