John Garamendi's Basque Barbecue

Are any of you attending this year's BBQ on Saturday, May 9? If so, I'll see ya there.

1. I used to get invited, but unfortunately he did not send a ticket

for transportation to wherever he lives way north of Southern California. That Basque Barbecue is pretty irrelevant in this day and age for Southern Californians which may be why he isn't as well known in our part of the state as he is in other parts. I like what I know about him, but if he wants to run for governor, he needs to adopt a better strategy for Southern California. I'm not a party bigwhig.

2. He's out of the Governor's race

and is now running for HR District 10. Unfortunately, he couldn't get any publicity, probably even if he killed someone. The media only seems to cover Brown, Feinsstein and Newsom. Kind of how the MSM pointed vitually ignored everything except Obama and Clinton in the primaries.

Garamendi is a solid progressive with the public's interest in mind. I enjoyed working for him at the Dept. of Insurance and with his wife at Technology, Trade and Commerce. Great people. Great family.
