Wednesday, June 17, 7-9 p.m. at the Center for Nonviolence, 1584 N. Van Ness (SE corner Van Ness and McKinley). Jean Hays will be sharing her experiences of her visit to El Salvador in March of this year.
On March 15 El Salvador elected the FMLN candidate, Mauricio Funes as president. This was a milestone after more than 20 years of the corrupt rule of the ARENA party. Jean was part of the observer delegation led by the Center for Exchange and Solidarity. She will also be talking about her visits to villages in the countryside as well as historical places in San Salvador. There will be a slide show of photos taken while in El Salvador.
