Last month Fresno PD tried to intimidate Women in Black, This month their Numbers grew

Women in Black held a vigil in the breeze way of the Fresno County Courthouse on Wednesday, May 3, 2009. The vigil, which is held on the first Wednesday of every month, was 4 or 5 times larger than usual. The reason? WIB members were threatened with arrest last month by deputy sheriffs. Even with a new mayor who happens to be a woman, Fresno PD continue to try to clamp down on dissent, even when it is silent but present.
