| push to turn Fresno County blue |
|
This is an e-mail I just spammed my friends with. I will edit a little so it makes more sense here. If you are interested PM me & I will get you more specific info. Feel free to post this on other sites if you want. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Evening everybody just sending this out to let you know that the weekend of August 8-10, that is Saturday through Monday, the Democratic party of Fresno County is putting on a voter registration drive. Some of you maybe aware of how close we are to having a plurality of registered Democrats for those of you who do not know we are with in reach of turning Fresno County (a few thousand) with a few good pushes. Saturday & Sunday we will do door to door voter registration/canvassing with Monday being the wrap up at the new citizen naturalization ceremony. If you RSVP by Wednesday August 5th it will help us have water & clipboards for all. To RSVP you can reply to me. If you can't make any of these dates put your children up to coming out. Regardless of your ability to participate tell your friends, the more people we get the better chance we have of making Fresno blue by the end of this weekend. Sincerely, padia

I spoke with the coordinator of the canvassing & he said that RSVP's can be accepted through the www.sanjoaquinvalleydemocrats.org website. Toward the top of the page you will see some tabs above a scrolling marque go to the contact us tab. In the subject line put "canvassing RSVP" in the message put your information & questions about the event. Hope to see you there. padia

| 4. Wow, that's a real challenge. |
|
But I sure do wish our Fresno county DUers the best of luck in this. Get out there and support this registration drive!
If nothing else, do it to make RimJob's sphincter clench a little tighter. ;)

according to the county clerk as of tuesday morning we were 6968 difference which puts us under 2%. some of the other projects going on in town are averaging about 1 an hour. we are hoping for 100 people to come for 4 hours each day that and the other groups do what they do we could take a thousand for the weekend. There are people from the bay area coming down that have already RSVP'd. With a few of these events and what SOL & Cal-voter are doing we should be able to have Fresno turned during October.

There were 20 of us that showed up which means about half the people that RSVP'd flaked. The 20 of us that did show up were out for about 3.5 hours making for a 5 hour day our effort has netted us around 120. Anyways if anybody still wants to come out for the Sunday go ahead and RSVP at the San Joaquin Valley Dems website that is already mentioned in a previous post.
