..."Make that $6 million and counting, with no limit in sight. PG&E last week doubled down on it’s effort to stop public power in the state. On Friday the for-profit utility wrote a $3 million check to fund a June ballot measure making it nearly impossible for public utilities, like SMUD, to expand into PG&E territory, or for upstart local governments to start new public power efforts. That’s on top of the$3.5 million PG&E spent just to gather signatures to get the so-called “Taxpayer Right to Vote Act” on the ballot. ( And, sadly, that $6 million will be probably seem like chump change by the time this thing is over.)"
In other words.... when you pay your PG&E bill, part of that money goes to a campaign to keep YOUR rates high! Isn't that special??
