2. Good start, but a drop in the bucket

The big-ticket items -- slashing Medi-Cal and In-Home Supportive Services, deep cuts to higher education (particularly CSU, which does not have the fundraising or research grant base that UC Berkeley or UCLA does), and killing off the redevelopment agencies, which produce a large portion of our already inadequate supply of affordable housing -- will hurt real people, real bad, real soon. I doubt there are enough cell phones in the world to pay for all that.
