| KFI radio show host has a brilliant idea to fix California's economic woes. |
|
Jerry Brown, as part of his attempt to pay California's debt, plans to raise car registration fees for a couple of years according to a local host on LA's KFI 640. He was appalled at this along with the idea of raising taxes to help fix the problems. He was convinced that this would do nothing and be at best a temporary patch. He had a much better idea.
He pointed out that there are parks and libraries all over the state that sit on very valuable land. Developers would pay quite a lot to build condos on those sites.
California could sell them off and it would go a long way to resolving the financial crisis.
"Sell off the parks! Sell off the libraries! I don't care! We've got too many parks and libraries anyway!"
Another idea that seemed promising to him was to cut down the school year by a month.
Anything that didn't affect him personally was a good idea, I guess.

Most of them have this as their secret agenda.
Most of them dream of some sort of Road-Warrior paradise, where somehow they have all the guns and the women --
Reality, meet stupid conservative. Liberals are the only thing keeping them alive.

capitalistic conservative in this economy knows that there isn't much development going on in these days because there is no new market for condos and malls. We are in a depression. Somebody give that guy a clue.

Brown has stopped all that nonsense. Now if we can just get Jerry to stop the sale of the Orange County Fairgrounds......

| 6. Lol, what an idiot. He wants to build more condos, at a time when no one is buying? |
|
And sell the parks and libraries? What a dolt.

Jerry, let's sell off the hosptials and nursing homes, make then into condo's on their "valuable land"!
Think that would be a good idea, except it might affect Jerry, too, pretty soon.
I can't believe these ideas really came from the guy the Dems elected in Calif.

there is no name attached to this headline.
on a side note, what do people think makes that land so valuable? It is because of the parks and libraries that the land is so desired, remove that and the value will drop.

| 10. As a former California resident, I must ask: |
|
What the Hell happened to Jerry Brown?...He used to be a progresive.
I remember when he ran against Clinton in the Presidental primaries -- I was for him.
What happened?
