They had an amazing diorama in their window of "gay Ken and GI Joe" back in the 90's. I seem to remember their name started with "Uncle" something, but that cold be my middle-aged memory playing tricks.

a store with Uncle in the title. There was an Uncle Sam's liquor store but I think that was in San Pablo.

It might have been Market and Church, not Market and Castro. Damn this is stuck in my head now.
