I am working to put together an anti-war group to protest. The idea of this group is to join other rallies and protests and hold our own.

Our group is focusing on the statistics and numbers. We are working to build banners that list the statistical numbers of the dead, wounded, missing, etc. We are making banners that tell the cost of this war and what we could have spent the money on. We also have banners that have quotes from the Founding Fathers that go directly against what * is doing. What we are trying to aviod is sarcasm that might turn the uninformed off. While I totally appreciate the feelings behind those signs and bumperstickers, we are trying to reach the audience that doesn't respond to that but who are clueless to the statistics of this war and of *. Surprizingly, there are many people like that. Our good friend is in the Navy, and he and his wife (both who voted for Kerry) had no idea how many people have died in Iraq or how much this war has cost- and they are against the war. Can you imagine such ignorance? This is the audience we are trying to reach. Those who are unsure of this war but who lack the solid understanding of WHY they should be against this war.

Did you know that neither * or cheney have been to one American funeral? Unacceptable. But most people don't know this. The first American Persident, the first "war time" president not to have attended one single funeral. Not even the vp. Most people would be surprised to learn this.
