AM 760 Dumps Randi Rhodes For Spinger

now there is only one AAR show on the line-up and they throw in "Special AAR Host" for a whole hour from 7-8PM. Toss Majority Report on late at night.

I listened to Springer for a while today and he doesn't hold a candle to Randi Rhodes.

3. Our Air America in SB is slowly adding back in lots of other programming.

Local sports breaks in constantly. Any time the local basketball teams have a game it cuts off the programming. Every night it seems that local sports cuts off Majority report. At night is that offensive impersonator guy. The weekend is even somewhat conservative. And it is Clear Channel so there is no one to complain to.

4. Our AAR station (Twin Cities) winds up with a lot of sports too..but

i think at least some of it is the result of pre-existing contracts for college ball games etc.
the contracts were signed before AAR found its most current radio home, which was a few months ago.
it will be interesting to see if these pacts are dropped after the current season or not....

5. 760 was a sports station

that's the one thing that didn't sit well about CC switching the format to Air America is that more local programing and employees got sent packing just to turn the station into total syndication.

Even when they bring programming I support they manage to make it in an unsavory way

in the country and hear AAR LIVE!

7. They just started advertising locally that we should contact them

and say who we prefer Springer or Randi. I'm leaning towards Springer mainly because I don't care for how Randi treats her callers.

However we get AAR for most of the day here just not always live.

But our clear channel station is like 1000 watts or something really tiny so I doubt it matters much =).

Our clear channel station carries Randi Rhodes, and oddly Rush is on the very same station. If they get enough complaints and Springer's ratings tank, they'll put Randi back on.

I heard Springer for the first time today. His HOT TOPIC was 16 year old drivers and how bad they were.

the only show I really looked forward to was Morning Sedition. Now that it's gone 760 is out the door. Honestly I don't see how that station represents Front Range progressives. It's filled with repuke advertising.
