Urge your Representative to Support the DeGette/Castle Stem Cell Bill

Below is a link to today's "Science Friday" program on NPR. Congresswoman DeGette discusses her bill to remove the Bush restrictions on federal funding for stem cell research. Also on the program are two researchers who explain, among other things, why the Right is incorrect in contending that adult stem cells have the same scientific efficacy as embryonic stem cells:

Rep. DeGette is close to getting the bill (co-sponsored by moderate Republican Mike Castle of Delaware) passed (if Hastert, DeLay, et al. allow the bill to come to a vote). If you don't live in DeGette's District, call your Representative to urge him or her to co-sponsor and to vote for this important bipartisan bill.
