| Statewide Library courier goes bankrupt, patrons left holding the book |
|
Edited on Wed Oct-05-05 01:23 PM by Democrats_win
Ordinarily, you can request a book from almost any other state library and a courier would deliver it to your nearest library.
Now that the courier has gone bankrupt, all of this is suspended.
Just saw this notice on the door of my local library.
Hope you don't live in Sterling and have a book from Durango.

the library detective, to get back all those outstanding books. (Seinfeld, episode 22)

| 4. Good question. If I recall, budget cuts almost cut this system. |
|
They may not have the money which another courier might cost.
Or it could be that they've been caught off guard. They may very well get another courier soon.
