I have to applaud Gov. Owens

I usually disagree with most of his decisions, but he is standing up for C and D, even attacking members of his own party (though not using names) when asked about who opposes the referenda. I saw him talk at UNC last night, and he spoke about how it was members of his own party who have it wrong on this one. The university President, a decently well-known Republican, did much the same, actually going a bit farther and talking about how some members of her party just thing that smaller gov. is always good and why they're wrong.

It was nice to see some sanity in the GOP. We really should applaud republicans that break from the ranks -- it encourages more to do so.
