| Labor Day vigil at Bourne Rotary Cape Cod |
|
The First Annual OUT OF IRAQ Labor Day Rotary Blog on the Bourne Rotary, Cape Cod Mass Monday SEPT 5th from 1pm-7pm
DESCRIPTION: After a long fun-filled summer on Cape Cod, tradition finds the locals bidding farewell to summer residents and tourists, sitting in bumper to bumper traffic to go back to work and back to school. While waving goodbye, we hold our, ‘Thanks for Coming’, ‘See You Next Year’signs for all to see. This Labor Day will be the start of a new tradition. Come join us for an peace vigil on the Bourne rotary. Traffic will be grid- locked guaranteeing your sign WILL be noticed.
On Labor DayWe will meet at the Peebles Elementary School on Trowbridge Road in Bourne to walk the 1/4 mile distance to the rotary at 12:pm. Please bring signs, hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and your camera. Ice cold water will be provided.
Boston area TV channels always get film footage of the mass-exodus. We could be famous!
contact Deb at dirtnymph@adelphia.net Please e-mail if you have any questions regarding the cookout or this peace rally event.
Directions to Peeble Elemtary School. From the Bourne Bridge head onto Trowbridge Road. (Located between the Mass State Police Barracks on the right at the base of the bridge, and the Yankee Thrift Motel on the Right) If you’re going the correct way you will see a Tedeschi’s Market after the police station on the right. Travel approximately 1/4 mile and Peeble School is located on the left. Park behind the school near the track and football field.
Please come join us even if you can only stop by for an hour or two.

We just got back from a week in heavenly Cape Cod. It was sheer bliss to be among so many liberal, progressive people. I think we only saw one "W" sticker all week, but there were loads of anti-war, anti-B*sh bumper stickers everywhere.
I'd go back in a minute, but it's a 594-mile drive from Rockville, Maryland, and there are those pesky things called jobs.
However, we are having candlelight peace vigils at Rt. 108 and Georgia Ave. in Olney, MD every Wednesday in September leading up to the Sept. 24 march in DC. You're all welcome to join us!
