Many Voters Changing Party Affiliation

The specific number of people who have switched to a Democrat party affiliation aren’t available, but there has been a large number of voters to do so in Westport.

People are changing their party affiliation in order to vote in the Aug. 8 Democratic primary for both governor and U.S. senator.

“There have been a lot of changes,” said Nita Cohen, registrar of voters. “It’s been a steady stream.”

Voters across the state have been moving to change their affiliation to Democrat so they can vote, she said.

Republicans can't switch that easily. So at least they can't change and vote for Lieberman. They would have had to do so by May 8, a time when Lamont was still not being taken too seriously. So I doubt too many of them did.

will vote for Ned Lamont.
