Looking for a recommendation for a hotel for a girls get away, something traditional Key West. Not a chain, and not anything romantic.

And currently undergoing renovations, for which they fired their entire staff and shipped them back to the Caribbean. This had just been announced when we showed up, and suffice to say, service was, well, the worst I've ever had. Ever. I've had better service at a freakin' Motel 6.
I mean, it's understandable, since they had all just heard they were being canned, but still.
Also, I'm not a big fan of all-inclusive places like Hawks Cay. I'd rather get out on the island than stay inside a resort area.
As for the OP, in the similar thread in the Lounge, I recommended Eden House in Key West. great place.
