| For those going to DC - post the hotel where you're staying |
|
I know we have DUers spread all over the area with a large bulk at the CapHill Suites (that's where I am) and over in Alexandra/Arlington. I also think DUers packed in at the local Hostels.
I just figured if you don't mind sharing which hotel you're staying at - you might find others who are staying there and then you can hook up at the event.

Never been there (the hotel, not Dupont Circle) so I have no idea what to expect.

The hotel is not. I have to drive to the hotel, but I'll be taking a cab or the metro once I get into the city for DU events since I don't want to deal with the traffic and worries about getting lost.

The Marriot Wardman Park, where I'm staying, is in Dupont Circle too. At 2660 Woodley Rd.

I'm horrible with city driving. I probably will just drive in to the hotel then taxi/metro to most locations once I get there. I have this tendency to get terribly lost whenever I drive in a city. :-( .

definitely do that because even without extra traffic if you arent very comfortable and familiar with dc then it makes most sense to just take the metro
i am glad to help if i can
on edit: pm if you prefer

| 15. I would have to drive a good 18-20 miles before getting to the nearest |
|
station. Then I'd have to haul my bags, sign, etc. on the train to the station nearest my hotel and walk or take a cab there. I'm also planning on going to the Green Festival on Sunday which would leave me nowhere to store my stuff after I check out Sunday. I sort of need to take my car in, even if I don't drive it around a lot.
