I am planning to go to the DU meetup Friday night and will be happy to bring posterboard for folks to make their own signs.

8. You'll be fine

The DC cops are not agressive unless you are agressive to them first. The only area where they are in riot gear and on guard is where they'll be surrounding the other people (the pro-war faction).

So unless you plan on attacking police officer or hanging out with those who are, you should be fine. And if you see yourself surrounded by people who look angry and ready to go after the cops - MOVE AWAY

I'm looking forward to meeting you in person, at last. It's too hard to bring stuff on the plane, so it would be great to have materials at the meet-up Friday night. on edit: Or, as Lynne suggested, in someone's room after the meet-up. The hotel where a lot of us are staying is a short walk from the Hawk & Dove.

I thought of maybe going over to the ImpeachBush.org area Saturday and getting one of their signs to carry, but it would be good to have something in case that doesn't pan out.
