D.C. DUers- Don't forget to vote September 12 in mayoral primary

Just a reminder to my fellow DUers that the mayoral primary is September 12.

Unfortunately, I cannot vote because I am a registered Independent. (I left the Democratic Party last year, out of my fustration that only one Democrat in the Senate would sign on to the objection of the certification of the Ohio electors).

Anyways, if I could vote in the primary, I would vote for Adrian Fenty. He is a true workhorse, and I love his dedication to constituent services.

I am in his ward, and he has been a much better City Council representative than Charlene Drew Jarvis ever was.

Anytime a constituent service is needed, his folks are on it!


So that's my plug for Fenty.

But whatever you do, please remember to vote!

1. Vote Marie Johns

Thank you journalist3072 for the voting reminder. I just wanted to throw a bone to Marie Johns for Mayor! I believe her businesses experience will shape up DC government services and employees. Our services here are terrible and Johns' outside perspective will bring DC up to par with other major cities. At the same time she is a DC native so she understands what needs to happen.

The primary is just three weeks away!

2. we've had a businessman

for the past 8 years. (remember, Tony Williams was the CFO before) what we actually need is a real populist, not a faux-Marion Barry one, but someone who will really work to bring the boom west of the river to the East of the river.

3. I love the DC voter registration card!

It has my Ward # and my polling place on it.

It's great not having to hunt for the place where I vote.
